I honestly think tik toks going to get taken down there having a lot of issues I use to post on tik tok a few times a week but some time back in october the app started having a lot of issues with getting views and your videos not going on the for you page. i use to get 100k+ views on all my videos, a few weeks ago when I was still using the app I would get barely 2000 views and when I would check the analytics it would say that like 5% of my views came from the “for you” page, were as on my videos that got my usual views it would say like 98% of my views were from the for you page. Im not sure whats really happening with that app but I think byte is waaaaay better and is going to give tik tok a run for its money when it comes out of beta

I total agree to that. I have also been having problems with my content and the views going down. I definitely don’t have a 100k tho haha

changed from general discussion to #youtube-vine-instagram-etc. general discussion is for discussions about the byte app/service :yum:

Don’t say those things seriously. We would prefer those people who like that app continue supporting their community while we have ours here. Plus competition is what drives success. (marketing 101)

I don’t think TikTok is going anywhere.

Every big social media has a life span. Remember MySpace, Vine so on.

Thing about Tik Tok is that every time more people join but they do the same 40 audios again, and again, and again. Creativity is not rewarded, so as a creator It makes you really don’t wanna continue doing stuff there, that’s my opinion. So I think people will get soon bored as soon as it stops being trendy

Tik Tok is going nowhere unless byte comes in asap

Vine doesn’t count, that was unfairly taken from us. What’s hilariously ironic, MySpace exist Vine doesn’t. I love Twitter so much right after SC, but I’m still salty they shut the app down Idk if I’ll ever get over it honestly maybe the saltiness will lessen when Byte releases.

That’s true the points I made aren’t exactly valid but yeah byte will have to do cause Twitter certainly isn’t gonna magically revive vine

Sadly I think it’s gonna be a while. Wait for the current (young) generation grows out of it. That could be 10 years

For some of you guys, i hate to break it to you but tiktok is not going anywhere soon lol. Its something different that millions of people use. Only way i see it ‘fall’ is by being shut down like vine, or tik tok does something stupid that makes it die. I see tiktok surviving for a couple of years.

@armansingh Doesn’t need to die, at least I personally aren’t looking for that. Reminder, Musically & Vine coexisted. “Apps can be friends” and competition is good even if it is a bit cringey. Don’t think I’ve used TikTok since it was Musically, just to cringey & repetitive I’m waiting for them to fix their app because you get like 1 good, unique and/or creative TikTok every 10 TikToks and its quite a nuisance.

see things still exist… But shutting down a community that had so much potential is a bit different than “Dying out”

Im not saying byte will kill tiktok, just saying an app like that tends to die. Like the good stuff on tiktok aint gonna be there after a while which kills it.

@armansingh Ohhhh, I don’t rlly understand but okay. I don’t rlly know any other other app like Byte or TikTok so I get confused when people call them fads, we don’t know how long these apps are supposed to last. Vine was unfairly taken from us and Musically just ended up rebranding into TikTok (which I call the changing course timeline lol) which all apps do to succeed anyway.

tik tok is only at its start, its at the point where anyone can blow up on it. it has some great features and showcases some great songs. unfortunately, it wont be going anywhere anytime soon.
