What do you call video calls?

As an Android user I can’t say “let’s Facetime” because, well, I don’t have Facetime. I often end up saying “let’s skype”, even though I don’t actually use skype for video calls. I’ve considered resorting to “let’s video call”, but I don’t want to sound like an out of touch narc trying to hack into internet culture. So non-Apple/non-Facetime users, what do you call video calling? Help me to find a new phrase, I beg of you.

(As suggestions come in I’ll add a poll to this post so you can vote on the best names)

  • Show Me Your Face
  • Zoom
  • Video Call
  • Let’s Look At Each Other

Think the only correct answer is ‘show me your face’

Many people are moving to “zoom” too. Do you have a minute for a “zoom” video? That is common now too.

Is that an app or just a phrase? I feel old and out of the loop.

It is an APP. Saying any of the following people will know… Let’s jump on a skype, zoom, facetime etc anyone will know what you are talking about. I have most often heard the “let’s jump on a _____” before the App name. They all work.

Most “interviews” are on Zoom right now is my guess.

Personally I call it obnoxious, even worse than an OG phone call

(I use the term video call)

How about let’s “Look At Each Other”? I think that’s a great one.
