Great question! Today SpaceX needs to prove to NASA that their Crew Dragon spacecraft is ready for human spaceflight. Two astronauts will be onboard the spacecraft, they’re the first astronauts to launch from US soil since 2011, and they will test the spacecraft throughout the mission. The astronauts won’t stay at the ISS for half a year because this is a demo flight.
@sem says it better!
Your short explanation is also accurate!
Oh man Marcus what’s the status
And don’t forget Jim!
Right, of course. I’m just an Elon fanboy…lol
Same here but Jim has made this possible for SpaceX so I really appreciate that guy as well.
Wow. The spacesuits and helmets are made in the same facility as the rockets. Everything is in-house.
Amazing isn’t it?!
Yes, And the touchscreens replace all those old gauges from before. That’s amazing too! It’s like a Tesla in there.
Crew Dragon is basically a flying Tesla, right?!
The crew has arrived at the launch pad
Did you notice Behnken has a watch around his spacesuit…lol
Or maybe it’s something else…I suppose.
Yeah, pretty weird thought to wear a watch in space!
Do you know what’s in Seat #1? It looks like that globe they used in the test flights.
It probably is the same!
those suits are too!
