SpaceX and NASA About To Launch First Astronauts From US Since 2011

Great question! Today SpaceX needs to prove to NASA that their Crew Dragon spacecraft is ready for human spaceflight. Two astronauts will be onboard the spacecraft, they’re the first astronauts to launch from US soil since 2011, and they will test the spacecraft throughout the mission. The astronauts won’t stay at the ISS for half a year because this is a demo flight.

Wow. The spacesuits and helmets are made in the same facility as the rockets. Everything is in-house.
