How does Views to Like Ratio work?

How is Byte deciding what videos to continue promoting? I’ve seen videos on the popular page with about 1000 likes but they have over 25,000 views or more. That means only 1 out of every 25 people likes it. Obviously many views are rewatched videos, so a few thousand have to be ignored towards the view to like ratio. On the other hand, I’ve uploaded videos, and seen other people upload videos, and seen almost half as many likes as views (Ex. 30 views/13 likes or so). However the videos stop getting shown there. I get that there’s an algorithm, but shouldn’t a video continue to be shown until the view to like ratio drops, and not no longer be shown when it’s done well among the small circle that’s seen it so far? Any input would be great, as I’m trying to learn the algorithm. Thanks!

I’m curious about this as well.

Saaame.

What you’re seeing is loops, not views. One person can loop the video up to 25 times.

Not how the algorithm works

loops are for your information and are not used in any algorithm
