I have seen some threads asking for some tips to being good on YouTube. Here are some:
If you want to be a YouTuber you need to be dedicated and have consistency. You need to have time to record, edit, and post your videos. You need to let your fans know when you are going to post.
- Quality Content
Make sure your content fits under what topic your fans came to your channel for. Don’t make entirely different videos all the time. Make sure it is good quality, too. (1080p videos, no watermark, etc.)
- DO NOT do sub for sub
Sub for sub usually gains you inactive subscribers. Do not do it.
- Shoutouts do not always matter
If you are a gaming channel, and a big howto channel shouts you out, it might not matter. The reason is people the subscribers to the howto channel want howtos and might not like gaming. This may gain you inactive subscribers.
But, this is not always the case. In 2013, when PewDiePie was in his early stages, he was doing a shoutout. Jacksepticeye won and many people subscribed. He became famous but that audience was not totally his type. He was now well known so the gaming community went to him.
